Nick Haddow leads the cream of artisan cheese makers descending on the Hunter Valley in June

Cheese worshippers rejoice, back by popular demand Cheese Lovers Festival sponsored by Kurrajong Kitchen is returning to New South Wales. Held in spectacular Hunter Valley, the two-day festival pays homage to cheese in all flavours, textures, and forms. Taking place on Saturday 17th June and Sunday 18th June it will brie a weekend to remember.

Two cheese-fuelled days will include cheese, beer and wine tastings, a cheesecake competition, and workshops, fine dining, live music and kids entertainment. Cheese experts at the Cheese Information Desk will guide food explorers on a tailor made Cheese discovery.

An additional highlight for visitors this year is an intimate lunch or dinner hosted by renowned artisan cheese maker and founder of Bruny Island Cheese Company, Nick Haddow. The three-course menu designed exclusively for the festival will showcase the latest in cheese innovation.

Mr Haddow said, “Cheese Lovers Festival is a truly unique event, the strength of Australia’s cheese credentials continues to grow and I’m proud to join some of the finest artisan cheese makers in the industry. My menu will incorporate some of my favourite cheeses from around the world dressed with good Aussie produce. I’m already experimenting with flavour combinations.”

Find your perfect (cheese) partner at 40 stalls showcasing a variety of cheeses, beer and wine. A number of workshops from beginner to pro will deliver new tools to help finesse cheese dishes at home and learn about beer and cheese pairings.  The exclusive beer and cheese Workshops by White Rabbit Brewery will allow visitors to taste a unique range of flavoursome ales and matched cheeses.


Wine connoisseurs will benefit from expertise provided by Bruce Tyrrell, CEO of Tyrrell’s Wines, Recognized with an Order of Australia Medal for his contribution to the Australian wine industry; improving grape quality, research, tourism and export opportunities it is the perfect place to brush up on worldly wine knowledge.

Discover or participate in the amateur fancy cheesecake competition judged by Nick Haddow or watch a live cook off at ‘The Composed Cheese Course’ open to professional chefs and judged by ‘Mr & Mrs Cheese’ from My Kitchen Rules’.

On sale from March 1st tickets are capped for each day to ensure appropriate space
