We recently assisted Sekisui House Australia with their Business After Five with the Sydney Hills Business Chamber. They took this opportunity to create a grand opening of The Orchards Norwest. It was a fantastic event that showcased Sekisui House to new clients and played to the rich history of the Hills district.
For Memphis Events, an opening is all about showcasing the building and is an opportunity to have some fun, network and mark the significance of the occasion. We help our clients put some pizzazz into the opening of their buildings so they can advertise their business, connect with the community and kickstart their long-term success! They’re the perfect opportunity for you to showcase your talents in a relaxed and enjoyable environment and to show investors, suppliers, family and employees the result of months, if not years, of hard work.
If you aren’t aware, the Hills is the original home of Australia’s citrus fruit industry. In keeping with the history of the area, Sekisui House has incorporated citrus fruits into the apartments. As such, we saw it fitting that their Business After Five event also maintain a strong orchard theme.
We took the opportunity to create an engaging and interactive installation piece that focused on oranges. Filled with bright and orange colours, guests approached a table of pine crates filled oranges, resembling a fruit market or orchard field. They then saw one of four stations set up with a juicer. The guests had the opportunity to squeeze their own orange juice and enjoy the fruit of their labour from a champagne glass.
No event is complete without entertainment. We work with some of the best musicians in the country and can recommend ones who will be the perfect fit for your event. For this opening, we chose a smooth, soulful singer to bring a classy tone that would fit with the luxurious atmosphere of The Orchards display suite. We also work closely with our clients and listen to their wants. At this particular event, Sekisui House wanted a Carnival type atmosphere so we also recommended a juggler and caricaturist for the event.
A lot of work goes into planning and managing all our events, and a building opening ceremony is no different.
