As the year begins to draw to a close, we like to take a moment to reflect on all the amazing and inspiring events that Memphis Events had the opportunity to put together and bring joy to people. Here are our Top 5 Events, 2018.
1. Kurrajong Kitchen Cheese Lovers Festival
Cheese, cheese, cheese…what’s not to love? This year, the cheesiest event in our calendar moved from the beautiful Hunter Valley to the heart of Sydney in Centennial Park. We loved being able to share our festival with a bigger, better and cheesier crowd. Bringing the country to the city was a new experience to Memphis Events with a lot of learnings and experiences added to our repertoire. http://cheeseloversfestival.com.au
2. Western Sydney Small Business Expo
The theme for WSSBE18 was Plan – Unlock – Diversify which resonated really well with our attendees. Fantastic conversations and relationships were created as start-ups, micros and small businesses once again connected and created opportunities with medium to large size businesses. http://wssbe.com.au
3. SHBC Leadership Breakfast
Each year, the Sydney Hills Business Chamber hosts a Business Breakfast in October with a focus on Leadership. The special guest this year was Steve Waugh AO. Steve provided insight into building a world-class team, developing leadership skills, his philanthropic work and how he came to have Mother Theresa’s business card. A fantastic event that we put together with one of our closest clients https://www.sydneyhillsbusiness.com.au
4. SSROC Cities for Us Summit
We had the opportunity to assist the Southern Sydney Regional Organisation of Councils with their Cities for Us Summit. The event created discussion about density, local infrastructure and liveability in the metropolitan Sydney region. Delegates consisted of industry experts, leaders from local government, housing, planning and academia and included a keynote address from Lucy Hughes Turnbull AO. http://ssroc.nsw.gov.au
5. SHBC Celebrate Women in Business Lunch
In May, the SHBC hosted a Business Lunch dedicated to Celebrating Women in Business. The lunch featured two fantastic guest speakers, Cherie Barber (Australia’s Renovation Queen) and Amanda Steele (CBRE). Both speakers shared their stories and the experiences they have had in becoming successful in their field.
